Wedding Stationery
Your Wedding, Your Way!
Each wedding is unique & that's why I love designing bespoke wedding stationery, working closely with each couple to draw illustrations and create designs that are personal to you, reflect who you are and capture the theme and style of your wedding.
Over the years I've been fortunate enough to work with lots of wonderful couples, creating a wide variety of designs and stationery to help build the knowledge, experience and diverse portfolio of work I have today.
From flowers to charactatures, landmarks to pets, and even gin bottles for table plans, I've drawn a lot and no two briefs have ever been the same and that's what I love about what I do.
How it Works
It all starts with you!
Initially, I find it's good to start with a meeting to disucss your ideas and theme for your wedding day, either in person or via video call, so we can talk through your ideas and I can get a sense of what you want for your day.
Remember, there is no idea too big or too out there to suggest & there is always a way to make it work!
Alternatively if you're more comfortable dealing just in email, that's also fine, I have digital examples of my portfolio and a questionnaire I can send with it to find out more about what you'd like.
From there I work closely with you throughout the process to bring your ideas to life and help guide you with anything you're unsure of, drawing upon my years of experience to provide suggestions, ideas and inspire you.
At the initial stages it's absolutely fine if you're still undecided about what you'll want included in your final wedding suite and what 'on the day' pieces you may require, I will always keep hold of my sketch sheets and design files so they can be used at any time for you.
Once we've settled on a theme and what you'd like within your designs I will begin sketching and designing your wedding stationery, checking in regularly with you to update you on my progress as your designs come to life.
When everything is completed and you're happy with how the designs look, I will organise getting your designs printed through a trusted outsourced printing company. The printers I use also have the means to provide a variety of finishing touches to your prints, such as lamination, foiling, cutting techniques which we can discuss during the design process, if this is of interest to you.
Once printed, I will complete any required finishing touches that you've requested and then arrange posting them on to you.
What stationery do we need?
What you include within your wedding stationery is completely up to you. To help give you some ideas, here are some of the most frequent stationery items I design:
Save the Dates, Invitations, RSVP cards, Table Plan, Table Signs & Place Cards
Other items that people have included:
Envelope liners, Order of Service, Wedding Timeline, Guestbook, Quiz board
Wedding Portfolio
Below are some examples of the previous wedding stationery designs that I have created to give you a feel for my work, the style and hopefully help to inspire you when thinking of your own designs and how my illustrations can work across all the different elements you might want included in your own wedding stationery.
I try not to share any specific details or give too much away of designs I've worked on untill after each couple's special day, so for that reason not all of my designs are featured on my website. However, if you wish to see further examples of my work or arrange a meeting to discuss ideas please send me a message via my Contact page.

Testimonies
"Chris created all our wedding stationery from scratch.
He has an amazing talent to take our ideas and make them reality, from save the dates, invitations, table plan and individual table signs the designs were exactly what we wanted. He was proactive in making sure we hit the deadlines and all the printing was perfect and delivered in plenty of time.
I can't recommend Chris enough. I feel so lucky to have been recommended him by a friend."

"I used Chris to draw the pictures for my table plan in March 2019 for my wedding. From the very start Chris was professional and always in contact with me throughout the process.
I am over the moon with the outcome and had so many comments on the day on how wonderful they were, I now have the picture hanging in my home.
I would highly recommend and use again."
Kayleigh Baker
"Chris did a fantastic job of our bird themed wedding stationery; we commissioned Chris to design our wedding invites, table cards, table plan and wedding timeline. Chris understood the style we were after, and the illustrations were amazing.
It was so nice to have something personally designed for us for our wedding, and something we can put on our wall after. He is really talented and I would definitely recommend him for any illustration work."
Lydia & Ian

Timeframes
Each couple is different in their approach and there is no set process for when you need to have your stationery ready, but from experience here is a rough guide for the timeframes people often work towards:
Stage One - Save the Dates - Generally sent a year in advance of the wedding depending on how much notice you need to give guests to make arrangements.
Stage Two - Wedding Invitations / RSVP's - These are usually sent out 3 - 4 months ahead of the big day. This can vary if the venue/caterers require more notice on numbers or if you're waiting on particular information from your venue.
Stage Three - On the Day Stationery - These are generally ordered 2 - 3 weeks ahead of the wedding, once you have all the details finalised, guests confirmed and timings for the day.
For the process of drawing and creating your initial designs, please allow between 2 - 3 weeks from agreeing to work with me. Any stages after that I will factor into my working calendar based on the above rough timeframes.
